This advice is based on my experience interviewing for ZFellows in March 2022. I got accepted into the program and was part of the May 2022 batch. Check out this article if you want to read about my experience: ZFellows Experience
Who’re they looking for?
- They are looking for founders who are both
- Accordingly, highlight your skills and past experiences
Advice for the 10-15 minute interview round
- Since the time is short, don't beat around the bush, give straight answers, and as much depth you can give in your answers with facts and figures to show that you have done your research.
- Leave some time to let them ask you some questions
- Since you are in the ideation stage, put a lot more emphasis on why you think this idea could go big and what is your 3 months, 6 months, 12 months plan to make it big.
- In early stage, they are betting more on you than your exact idea, so put a good emphasis on your personal story and achievements too, make them feel you are the best perfect to pursue whatever ideas you are pursuing
- Send them your pitch deck and other relevant material over email after your call ends
Advice from Matt Espinoza
I discovered ZFellows through Matt’s tweet. So, when I got my interview he was the person (and probably the only one) I reached out to for advice. Really helped me.
